EQUITY/ NON-EQUITY CALL:
Non-union performers are paid an hourly rate of $16.00 for rehearsals through tech. Performances are a 4-hour minimum call. Union performers are paid the SPT-6 weekly minimum.

ABOUT THE SHOW:
Based on true events, Evita tells the story of Eva Perón’s rags-to-riches life as she goes from poor provincial child to First Lady of Argentina. A champion of the working-class descamisados, she uses popularity and politics to serve her people – and herself.
AUDITION PREPARATION:
Please prepare a 32 bar cut of a song that is in the style of the show. If you would like to sing from the show, you certainly may, but it is not required.

Eva Understudy. Female. Latinx. Late 20’s-Mid 30’s.
A profound, ambitious and power seeking woman who rises to become the leader of Argentina by the age of 26. Charismatic, divine feminine, sensual and resilient at all times. Starts the show at age 15 and ends at 33. Range: Mezzo-soprano, High G-Low E.
Che. Male. Latinx. Late 20’s-Mid 30’s.
A hard-edged everyday man and political activist. Dashing, impulsive, jealous and manipulative. The narrator of the show. Range: Rock Tenor, Low A-High C. Falsetto.
Juan Perón. Male. Latinx. Late 30’s-Mid 50’s.
An impressive, charismatic politician who brings all the trappings of power with him. Dignified, charming, authoritative. Eva’s husband. Range: Strong Baritone, Low A-High F#. Falsetto.
Agustin Magaldi. Male. Latinx. Late 30’s-Mid 50’s.
A tango singer and charming loser – never quite made it. Eva’s first love interest. Doubles as an ensemble. Range: High Tenor, Middle C to High G.
The Mistress. Female. Latinx. Late 20’s.
A fragile, vulnerable, innocent young woman. She is Peron’s mistress before he and Eva become a couple .Doubles as an ensemble. Range: Mezzo-soprano, Low A to High E.
Ensemble. Male and Female. Early Teens (10-18 yrs.) – Mid 50’s.
Encompassing all of Argentine society, from generals to aristocrats; must be excellent singers and movers.
