Melanie Lora Meltzer is so happy to be making her Cygnet debut. Recent San Diego credits: Tartuffe, Into the Breeches, and The Homecoming (North Coast Rep). Until 3 years ago Melanie lived in LA and worked there at the Antaeus Company, the Actors Gang, the Odyssey Theatre, the Getty Villa, the Ahmanson Theatre, the Geffen Playhouse, Theatre of NOTE, the Evidence Room, and many more. Multiple productions at the Laguna Playhouse and South Coast Rep, including the world premiere of Of Good Stock. Indie films, a few TV credits and lots of commercials and voiceover. Melanie is the co-host of the podcast Act Like a Mother, available everywhere, which just concluded its first season and stems from her and her co-host’s experiences as actor moms. @missmelanielora; melanielora.com

Alan Rust

The Hartford Stage Company, The Cleveland Playhouse, The Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Stage West, The Northern Stage Company, The North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, Goodspeed Musicals, the Cape Cod Shakespeare Festival and the Monomoy Theatre.  He has directed in theatres throughout the United States as well as Sydney Australia, Goteborg Sweden, Birmingham England and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  He has held positions at The University of Washington, The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he served as Dean, The University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and the Director of the Hartt School. 

He was also the Artistic Director of the Monomoy Theatre on Cape Cod for 39 years and is founder and Artistic Director of the Cape Cod Shakespeare Festival.

David McBean

David was last seen at Cygnet in last year’s production of “Christmas Carol”.  Other select credits include: “La Cage aux Folles”, “Pageant”, “The Legend of Georgia McBride”, “Dirty Blonde”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, and “Fully Committed” at Cygnet Theater, “The Remarkable Mr. Holmes”, “School For Lies”, “Glorious”, “A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum”, “All In The Timing”, “Travels With My Aunt”, and “Unnecessary Farce” at North Coast Rep, and “Psycho Beach Party”, “The Mystery of Irma Vepp”, and “The Rocky Horror Show” at Diversionary Theater.  He is the Vocal Arts Instructor/Music Director for the Coronado School of the Arts Musical Theatre/Drama Conservatory.

Patrick McBride

Patrick is thrilled to return to A Christmas Carol again this year. Favorite roles include Bullshot Crummond in Bullshot Crummond, Benedict in Much Ado About Nothing, Billy in Anything Goes, Sheridan Whiteside in The Man Who Came to Dinner, Jack in The Boys Next Door, Touchstone in As You Like It, James Joyce in Travesties, and Laurence in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. He is a proud graduate of the acting program at PCPA Theaterfest and has a BFA in Directing from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He has been a Teaching Artist for Intrepid, The La Jolla Playhouse, The Old Globe, The Playwrights Project, and The Shakespeare Theatre. Patrick was the assistant director on Broadway forThe School for Scandal, is a founding member of Luminary Arts, and has recently joined the cast at Mockingbird Improv.
