Concessions Manager
Department: Front of House
Reports To: Front of House Manager (upon hire) and Marketing Director
Pay Range: Starting range is $18-$20/hr plus tips
Location: 4040 Twiggs St, San Diego, CA 92110
Status: This is a part-time, hourly position. Ideal candidates will be available for weekend, evening and holiday availability.
General Description:
In addition to performing standard concessionaire duties, the Concessions Manager is responsible for supervising, training and scheduling concession staff, as well as meeting sales goals. The concessions manager ensures high customer service and product standards. Must be at least 21 to apply.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages the interviewing, hiring, training and performance evaluation of concession staff
- Schedules concession staff and monitors labor costs
- Works with Box office and House Management to ensure a quality patron experience
- Manages the inventory and ordering of supplies
- Manages bar menu including pricing, cost and cocktail creation
- Organizes and optimizes Concession workflow and procedures
- Acts as a support for marketing and development during special events
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in hospitality or customer service management
- At least 2 years of Bar or restaurant experience
- Experience in hospitality or customer service management
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Organized and capable of multitasking with attention to detail
- Ability to lift 20-30 lbs, use stairs and remain standing for 2 hours at a time
- Evening and Weekend Availability Required
Employee Supervision:
- Models and demonstrates employee standards and behavior.
- Provides performance feedback to concessions staff as needed.
- Works to create a positive and supportive work environment for coworkers & other departments.
