Mr. Malloy is a composer/writer/performer/orchestrator. Dean is thrilled to return to Cygnet for the West Coast Premiere of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, having completed successful runs of Sharon, Life Sucks, The Virgin Trial, Pride and Prejudice, Every Brilliant Thing, The Wind and the Breeze, A Christmas Carol, The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds, Shockheaded Peter, When the Rain Stops Falling, and Stupid F***ing Bird. National Tours include The Lion King and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. In the, UK he was delighted to work with Cameron Mackintosh on his musical, Hey, Mr. Producer! Other highlights include The Outsiders, The Luckiest, and the Annual Gala for La Jolla Playhouse; Outside Mullingar and the world premiere of Manifest Destinitis at San Diego Rep; The Outsider at North Coast Rep; and international productions of Grease, 42nd Street, Anything Goes, A Chorus Line and Meet Me in St. Louis.
Mathys Herbert
The most recent work at Cygnet includes Evita as well as being the Associate Designer for Cabaret and Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill. Other design credits include The Addams Family, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Catch Me If You Can, Rent, A Christmas Story, Sister Act, Freaky Friday, Young Frankenstein, Bring It On (San Diego Musical Theatre); Cabaret (SDSU); Million Dollar Quartet (Lamb’s Players). Originally from Dayton Ohio, he holds a BFA in Acting from Wright State University and is currently finishing his MFA in Scenic Design at SDSU.

Ali is elated to be back at Cygnet working on her number one dream show/favorite musical! Ali is a native San Diegan who’s been stage managing productions for the past six years and wishes to continue doing so for the rest of her life. Amanda Zieve
Amanda is delighted to be back at Cygnet after designing Evita, Cabaret and Rock of Ages. She is fresh from her Broadway design debut for The Who’s Tommy. Her work has been seen around the country: Off-Broadway, The Old Globe, La Jolla Playhouse, Signature Theatre Company, Alliance Theatre, Goodspeed Opera House, Bucks County Playhouse, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Maltz Jupiter Theatre, and San Diego Symphony. She has had the privilege of working on 19 other Broadway productions. Her Broadway Associate credits include Escape to Margaritaville, Bright Star, and Allegiance. One of her most rewarding experiences has been assisting on Hamilton. She received her B.A. in Theatre from California State University, Northridge. www.amandazieve.com.
