Born and raised in Denton, Texas. Later moved to Dallas to work for IBM Corporation as personal assistant. Arrived in San Diego in 1971, and never looked back. Opened bookkeeping and tax practice, Barbara Bolt and Associates, in 1975, which ultimately sold to American Express Tax & Business Services in San Diego. Retired and sold tax practice in 2014. Have one son still living in Denton, Texas. Have one grandson living in Burbank who I raised from age 8 (28 now). San Diego Junion Women’s Club – member 1971-80. Held various offices including President of the organization. Joined Globe Guilders in 2010. Have been Treasurer for the past 9 years. Chaired many projects. Worked extensively on the annual fashion show which raises over $100,000 each year. Have worked closely with The Globe Development Department and Finance Department over the years. Created and facilitates the Cygnet Social Circle for Cygnet Theatre in 2017. Organizes Meet the Artists luncheons for CSC members for every Cygnet production. Organized bus trip to Segerstrom Theater to see Come from Away. Donor and subscriber to The Old Globe and Cygnet Theatre. Attend select productions of several other San Diego theatres.
