GALA 2017 - Gin & Jazz will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 beginning at 5:30pm at the Historic San Diego Landmark El Cortez.

For one magical night, step back in time to the era of speakeasies, flappers and Duke Ellington. Sip on prohibition inspired cocktails aka “giggle water”, enjoy cabaret-style entertainment, and experience an evening of indulgence that was a hallmark of the Jazz Age!

Included in the evening’s festivities are silent and live auction items and a wine pull.

The party takes place at the historic San Diego landmark, El Cortez’ Don room, which opened it’s doors in 1927 and was the destination of choice for celebrities and dignitaries from President Eisenhower and Senator Kennedy to Elvis Presley and Bing Crosby.

1920’s vintage inspired evening attire is encouraged, cocktail attire requested.

See you there, old sport!

I have supported Cygnet since the beginning because I knew it was a midsize theatre with great potential to produce top quality, challenging work to enhance the theatre scene in San Diego. This has proven to be true.
